Cove Rangers made the perfect start to life in the Scottish Football League with a 5-0 Ladbrokes League Two win over nine-man Edinburgh.
Captain Mitchel Megginson set newly-promoted Rangers on their way in the 30th minute and he doubled the advantage seven minutes later.
Harry Milne headed home a third four minutes before the break and Liam Henderson was then dismissed for a poor challenge on Declan Glass.
Milne then got his second of the afternoon and Edinburgh were reduced to nine men when Calum Antell was ordered off for a foul on Megginson and Jordon Brown’s late effort wrapped it up.
Shane Sutherland scored a brace of his own as Elgin coasted to a 3-0 win over 10-man Cowdenbeath.
Sutherland scored twice in a five-minute spell either side of half-time before Euan Spark added a third and a straight red card for Michael Herd ended any hopes of a comeback for the Blue Brazil.
Albion recovered from giving up a two-goal lead at Ochilview Park to beat Stenhousemuir 3-2.
Gregor Fotheringham and Euan East had the Wee Rovers 2-0 ahead moments into the second half.
But goals from David Hopkirk and Alan Cook brought the Warriors level and Declan Byrne secured the points from the spot with six minutes remaining after Scott McLaughlin brought down Jordan Stewart.
Steven Swinglehurst’s second-half strike gave Annan a 1-0 win at Brechin and David Galt’s effort saw Queen’s Park win 1-0 at Stirling.
