Former Dundee United star Morgaro Gomis has signed a two-year deal with English Championship side Birmingham City.
The midfielder’s move to St Andrews had been thrown into doubt following the shock departure of manager Alex McLeish last Sunday.
However acting City chairman Peter Pannu insisted that despite all the controversy surrounding McLeish’s exit, the deal would still go ahead.
Gomis, who left Tannadice at the end of the season under freedom of contract, underwent a medical on Wednesday and was formally unveiled by Birmingham on Thursday night.
He becomes the club’s third summer signing following the capture of Marlon King and former Rangers winger Chris Burke.
