Montrose manager George Shields is frustrated that new signing Leszek Nowosielski remains sidelined by red tape.
The Gable Endies travel to face East Stirling in League Two today and had hoped to have the former Poland under-20 midfielder available.
He has been signed on a short-term deal through to January and is desperate to taste competitive action after featuring in three bounce games for Montrose.
However, the Angus club are still waiting on international clearance from the Polish FA in order to start him.
“We are still waiting and that’s a week now,” said Shields.
“I suppose it could still come through before the match but it’s unlikely and that’s a pity.”
As well as the frustration at not being able to feield their new face, the Gable Endies have spent this week trying to get over the controversial penalty award that robbed them of victory down at Annan last weekend.
They were leading 2-1 in stoppage but referee Don Robertson pointed to the spot to snatch the win out of their hands.
“It was anever a penalty and it was very disappointing not to get the victory,” said Shields.
“However, I did take comfort in what was a very good performance from the players.”
They do have selection problems, though, with Graeme Webster, Alan Campbell and Scott Johnston all sidelined.
