Former Scotland player Garry Kenneth in talks with Broughty Athletic
ByThe Courier Reporter
Former Scotland internationalist Garry Kenneth is believed to be signing for junior side Broughty Athletic just a few weeks after playing for Dundee amateur side Fairfield.
Kenneth, who turns 27 today, began his career at Dundee United and helped them win the 2010 Scottish Cup before making his Scotland debut in a friendly against Sweden in August of that year.
The big stopper moved to Bristol Rovers in July 2012 on a three-year contract but he was released after an 18-month injury-hit spell.
Kenneth trained with his former Tannadice club until Brechin stepped in to offer him a contract until the end of the season, but he managed only five games in that time and was sent off on his last appearance against Stenhousemuir.
Fairfield won a game that Kenneth played in 20-0, but he has now entered into talks to join Broughty.
