Forfar have issued an update regarding their vacant managerial post following the sacking of long-serving boss Dick Campbell at the weekend.
The club admit they have been impressed with the quality of those expressing an interest in taking over in the Station Park hotseat.
Former Cowdenbeath and Berwick boss Colin Cameron is one who is believed to have thrown his hat in the ring for the position while it is understood that Airdrie manager Gary Bollan would also welcome a move to Forfar.
The club statement read: “Loons’ officials have been heartened by the initial response to their quest to fill the void left by the departure of Dick Campbell following Saturday’s defeat from Cowdenbeath.
“They have also been impressed by the quality and standing within the game of those who have expressed an interest in the post.
“Interviews are likely to commence within the week.
“In the interim, first-team coach Stewart Petrie assisted by Development Coach Barry Sellars will take charge of training and the preparation of the team to face Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill on Saturday.”
