Injury may put East Fife FC’s Robert Sloan out for rest of season

East Fife midfielder Robert Sloan could be out for the rest of the season as a result of the injury he picked up on Tuesday night.
Sloan suffered what physio Brian McNeil has described as a “serious knee injury” during the 3-1 defeat to Dumbarton, although he admitted it is too early to confirm the extent of the damage.
Further tests are expected to take place on Friday but, should the club’s initial fears prove correct, the 27-year-old who has chipped in with seven goals so far this term could be sidelined for six to nine months.
On a more positive note, injured striker Stevie Hislop should return to the starting line-up on Saturday after appearing on the bench as a precaution on Tuesday night.
