Julian Speroni jokes that ‘Dundee’ player Charlie Adam isn’t allowed wonder goal

Julian Speroni has joked that he only invited Charlie Adam to play in his testimonial match after the Dundonian promised not to score a wonder goal against him.
Scotland and Stoke City midfielder Adam, a lifelong Dundee supporter, will line up for the Dens men against Speroni’s Crystal Palace side at Selhurst Park in London on May 26.
The game is being staged to honour the former Dundee goalkeeper who was approached by Adam after a recent Stoke v Palace clash, asking if he could be involved.
Speroni was delighted to say yes but added one condition – he isn’t allowed to chip him!
Adam, of course, was lauded earlier this month for scoring an incredible goal from within his own half for the Potters against Chelsea.
He has also scored a couple of times already against the Argentinian.
Speroni said: “I met Charlie and he told me was a Dundee fan and asked if he could play.
“I told him he could but only if he doesn’t score against me from the halfway line!”
Commenting on the news of his invitation via social media site Twitter, Adam wrote: “Looking forward to it.”
