Dundee have appointed two new club directors, in Bill Colvin and Dave Forbes.

Colvin is married to the daughter of the late Bill Gordon, who bequeathed a six-figure sum to the club, while Forbes is interim chairman of the Dundee FC Supporters Society and has been instrumental in raising hundreds of thousands for the club.

Colvin said: “Dundee Football Club means a lot to our family. We have been involved with the club as shareholders for nearly two years and I am looking forward to helping the club in any way I can as a director.”

Forbes added: “I am proud and privileged to take up this position on the board of directors and intend to work hard to continue the good work that has taken place behind the scenes to date.”

Dundee FC chief executive Scot Gardiner welcomed both appointments, saying: “I am delighted that Bill has joined the board at this time. There is no doubt he is an eminent businessman with a wealth of experience and having worked closely with him over a number of months now and along with his wife Pam, he has a real passion for our club.

“Similarly, Dave has been in and around the club for many years and played a big part in the club coming out of administration. I know he intends to make a positive contribution to the board of directors.

“They will both be valuable assets for our club and the other directors are also looking forward to working with him as we take Dundee FC forward towards a bright and dynamic future.”

Meanwhile, Dundee are to send a bill to Inverness for damage to the away dug-out at Dens after Terry Butcher lashed out during Saturday’s game between the two sides at Dens.

The manager was enraged by his side’s lacklustre showing and took it out on the dug-out. Dundee are to send a demand for £200 to repair the damage.
