On-loan defender Darren Brownlie keen to help in Cowdenbeath’s relegation fight
ByThe Courier Reporter
Cowdenbeath are hopeful that on-loan Partick Thistle defender Darren Brownlie will soon be over his hamstring injury and be back to help out their fight against relegation.
The former St Mirren and Ayr United youngster has been out of action since last month and boss Jimmy Nicholl is hoping for good news from Firhill this week.
He said: “Darren told me last week that there had been some progress. Whilst we could have done with him at Falkirk, that was far too soon, so we are hopeful that he may play against Dundee at this weekend.
“After losing 5-0 we could do with travelling there with as full a squad as possible.”
