Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl is not driven by revenge in today’s clash with Championship winners Hearts at Central Park.
Nicholl only wants the three points to help his side head for safety.
The last time the teams met at the end of February the Tynecastle outfit ran riot with a 10-0 win.
Nicholl said: “We had to gain respectability back after that game and we have done that with our performances and results since then.
“Some people expected us to crumble and fall away into relegation but we haven’t. We still have a chance of staying up and the chance will increase if we can find a way to win this one.
“This game means nothing in terms of showing Hearts that we are a better side than the 10-0 scoreline indicated or going out for revenge but it means a lot in terms of giving us an opportunity to get the points we need to be safe.
“This game takes on a huge importance for us. It is not a do or die match as we still have that Alloa one to come but it would certainly be a fantastic time to pick three points up.”
Lewis Milne returns after an ankle injury forced him to miss the last three games, with Nicholl also hoping that Thomas O’Brien, Kenny Adamson and Colin Nish can shake off knocks to feature. The only disappointment for the Fifers is that Sean Higgins will be absent with a groin problem.
