Former Hibs midfielder Euan Smith signs up for Brechin

Brechin City boss Darren Dods has added to his squad by recruiting former Hibs and Kilmarnock attacking midfielder Euan Smith.

The 21-year-old has gained first-team experience during loan spells at Arbroath and Clyde in recent seasons.

Smith was let go by Hibs last summer and signed a three-year contract with the Rugby Park men however that deal was cancelled early and he has been snapped up by Dods after impressing as a trialist during pre-season.

Dods said: “I am pleased that Euan has come on board as he has played well and scored during pre-season.

“He has the chance to establish himself in our starting XI and hopefully he will take it.”
