Dave Mackay has become accustomed to an early season clash with Celtic.
But the St Johnstone captain is happy that for a change the Perth men are under less pressure to get a result against the Scottish champions.
“We normally play Celtic in the fifth or sixth game and we’re still looking for a win,” he explained.
“At least we’ve got our first three points already this time!”
Mackay added: “We’ve gone to Celtic Park before and beaten them.
“You do expect to be busy and to be hanging on for dear life at times.
“But last year when we won with the Danny Swanson goal it was one of the most comfortable games I’ve had against Celtic in terms of chances they had. I came off thinking that was alright, whereas we’ve got results in the past and it’s been a case of ‘how did we do that?’.
“You need a bit of luck but if you play well you can give yourselves a chance.”
