An Angus rugby team have won new kits and will now compete for the chance to train with the Auld Enemy.
Brechin Junior Rugby Club (Pirates) are among 50 being given the chance to win the prize of a lifetime a training day with the England rugby team.
The teams, who have already won themselves an Ultimate Kit and Laundry Package including 22 bespoke Samurai kits and a top-of-the-range AEG 9 series washing machine and tumble dryer, will compete against each other to gain the most votes for a chance to train with England.
Teams will seek the support of communities, businesses, family and friends. Voters have the opportunity to make the dreams of 22 junior players come true, and have the added incentive of winning a holiday for four to the five star Forte Village Resort in Sardinia.
There, their children will be coached by England rugby legends every morning courtesy of Super Skills Travel, while they relax by a pool or get pampered in the spa.
The grassroots rugby campaign was launched by AEG to support clubs at a grassroots level, in the hope they would be able redistribute the costs that would normally be spent on sportswear and laundry, towards training and other facilities.
A final 50 teams, who have started their season in a specially-designed kit thanks to AEG, were also given a laundry package for their club house. The laundry package included a washing machine, tumble dryer and a month’s supply of stain remover.
Teams have one month to secure as many votes in the final 50 competition as possible.
