INSPECTORS HAVE praised improvements at the after-school care club at Eastern Primary, writes Grant Smith, education reporter.
The Schools Out club is able to take up to 48 children aged from four to 13.
After a visit by the Care Inspectorate last year it was given “adequate” ratings for its care and management. These indicators have now been upgraded to “good” with the same ratings given for its staffing and environment.
The new report says: “This club has improved its provision since the last inspection.
“This is a well-run, well-resourced club which gives children a variety of activities to choose from and lets them play in a safe and caring environment.
“There was evidence of good staff interaction with children where the children’s views and expressions were valued.”
