Most of the Scottish members of the Forum of Private Business would vote to remain in the UK, according to a new survey.
Over two thirds of 400 small businesses asked for their views said they want to remain part of the union.
Almost three quarters (73%) said they were worried by a lack of clear information on taxation and regulation, followed by currency fears (72%), transport (70%) and national resources (70%).
Some 53% of firms said independence would be a threat to the nation’s economic growth, while 21% viewed it as an opportunity.
More than a quarter (26%) said they remain uncertain as to what a Yes or No vote would mean for their business.
