TV psychic Derek Acorah will join a team of Angus ghosthunters on the hunt for spirits in Scotland’s Secret Bunker.

The controversial medium will travel to Fife to meet the Arbroath-based Afterdark Paranormal team on March 7 at the former underground nuclear command bunker.

He will try to contact the spirits in the bunker and help lead the investigation.

The Secret Bunker lies 100ft underground and was built to help safeguard Scotland during the Cold War in the event of a nuclear attack.

John Spratt, team leader and owner of Afterdark Paranormal Ltd, said: “We decided that we would try to do something different in 2015 for our loyal band of customers and came up with the idea of inviting a celebrity to join us on an investigation.

“I contacted Derek Acorah’s agent, never thinking in a million years that he would be available to join us.

“However, after a few emails and phone calls, I was over the moon when I got the call saying that Derek would be delighted to come to Scotland to work with us for the event. The Afterdark team are very excited about this and our tickets for the event are selling fast.

“Derek will be on hand to contact the spirits within the bunker and will help lead the investigation. This is a fantastic opportunity for our customers to investigate with one of the world’s most-loved mediums.”

The underground complex was built in 1951 as a secret seat of government should Britain ever come under nuclear attack.

The investigation will run from 9pm to 3am and is open to the public, with tickets priced £65 from www.afterdarkparanormal.co.uk or 02031 891930.
