Dunfermline fans are going to have to wait for their first sight of summer signing Alex Keddie after he dislocated a thumb in training.
Keddie is out of this afternoon’s pre-season opener against Hibs and will also miss Tuesday night’s derby with East Fife.
Winger Willie Gibson has been ruled out of both those games too.
After being dogged by a knee complaint, he now has a slight Achilles tendon problem.
A minor calf strain will see midfielder Alex Burke join Gibson and Keddie in the stand today but he has a chance of recovering in time for the trip to New Bayview.
Manager Jim McIntyre said, “We’ve done all the hard work on the training ground, now it’s about getting game time and the rustiness out of the system.”
