A woman escaped with just cuts and bruises after her car ended up on its roof in a six-car collision on the M90 near Perth during heavy rain on Sunday.
The emergency services rushed to the incident, which took place on the southbound carriageway at junction 10 between Broxden and Craigend, at 6.15pm.
Initial reports from witnesses suggested there could be multiple casualties, but all but the driver of one of the vehicles escaped unscathed.
Tayside Fire and Rescue’s heavy rescue unit from Perth was in attendance but the woman in the overturned car managed to free herself before help arrived.
She was assessed by paramedics at the roadside and found to have only minor injuries.
A spokesman for Tayside Police confirmed the road did not have to be closed.
The force issued a warning to motorists to slow down in bad weather.
