Cyclist suffers serious head injuries after collision with pedestrian in St Andrews

A cyclist sustained a serious head injury in St Andrews at around 3.45pm on Friday after their cycle was involved in a collision with a pedestrian on Bridge Street.
The casualty was transferred by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
En route, the ambulance was intercepted by the Ninewells trauma team at Leuchars so that further treatment could be administered to the patient.
No information was available on the age or sex of the casualty.
