Bill Walker has spent his first few days of freedom “trying to get back to normal”. The ex-MSP was released from prison on Friday after serving half of his 12-month sentence for domestic abuse. The 71-year-old from Bogside, near Alloa, was discharged from Dumfries Prison under automatic early release rules. Walker was found guilty at Edinburgh High Court in August last year of 23 assaults and a breach of the peace.
