Scone Palace the star of the show in this weekend’s Antiques Roadshow

An episode of the Antiques Roadshow which was filmed at Scone Palace last summer is to be broadcast this weekend.

Presenter Fiona Bruce and a team of experts visited Perthshire to uncover hidden treasures on July 9.

Footage from the visit will go out on BBC 1 at 8pm on March 30.

Programme makers say the episode will feature “an ‘ugly’ family brooch with a surprising value; one of the most significant books seen on the show, which dates back to the 15th century; T-shirts bought at a Clash concert over 30 years ago and a tea caddy from the 1780s, which the expert describes as ‘perfection’.”
