Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson to play in Perth
ByPaul Reoch
The legendary Ian Anderson frontman of Jethro Tull is about to embark on a UK tour, which will include a visit to the Fair City.
The 22-date programme kicks off in late April, before moving on to Europe and the US.
Anderson’s shows will feature his latest album, Homo Erraticus, in its entirety, followed after the intermission by a collection of the artist’s favourite Tull classics.
Following the success of his Thick As A Brick tour, which included a one-off performance at the Royal Albert Hall, tickets for the 2014 shows are expected to sell fast.
Fronting seminal prog rock outfit Jethro Tull and as a solo artist, Anderson has performed in more than 54 countries over 45 years. He is widely considered an icon of the genre and is recognised as the musician who introduced the flute to rock music.
He will play Perth Concert Hall on May 19. Tickets cost £30 and £26 and are available by phoning 01738 621031.
