Man cut free from car after crash outside Murthly Primary School

A man was taken to hospital after a two-car collision outside a Perthshire primary school.
The man said to be in his mid-forties had to be cut free from his vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment and was then taken by ambulance to Perth Royal Infirmary.
The accident took place at 8.25am on Wednesday outside Murthly Primary School and it is understood that the collision was weather-related.
A spokesperson for Tayside Fire and Rescue confirmed the man had been cut free by firefighters.
He added that two appliances were at the scene, one from Dunkeld and one from Perth.
A spokesperson for Tayside Police said that the two vehicles involved were both cars a silver Vauxhall Vectra and a black Vauxhall Astra.
She added that the casualty’s injuries were not thought to be serious.
