Broughty Ferry restaurant offering peckish pooches a dog’s dinner
ByThe Courier Reporter
A menu offering canine cuisine to hungry pooches in Broughty Ferry has proved a hit.
The Glass Pavilion on The Esplanade started offering a selection of dog meals and treats in June.
Supplier Violet Lee, from Oscar Pet Foods, said: “I asked the owner Asha (Martin) if she fancied doing a doggie menu.
“I was a bit nervous because I thought I would walk in and she might think I was daft. She was so enthusiastic and very supportive and it’s gone very well.”
Kate Hunter from Broughty Ferry, whose golden retriever Mirin and chocolate labrador Bruich sampled the menu, said it was an “excellent idea”.
She said: “There are not a lot of dog-friendly places in Broughty Ferry and this is a keen dog-walking area. It’s good to know they could come in for a coffee and not have to leave their dog in the car.”
Asha Martin said: “It’s been really good, the customers love it and it’s a bit of a gimmick but it’s been selling well.”
