Four Fife firefighters were taken to hospital last night after their fire engine crashed into a house.
The appliance crashed into a property in Anstruther’s High Street shortly before 6pm.
The crew, all from the St Monans fire station, were taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital, but their injuries are not serious.
There are not believed to have been any injuries sustained by the occupants of the house.

The incident forced the street to be closed for several hours and police, paramedics and fire crews attended the scene.
It is understood that the fire engine skidded before ploughing in to the front of the property.
It is not known if the incident was weather-related, but it happened in atrocious conditions that had already seen a Stagecoach double-decker blown off the road between Dunshalt and Falkland.This morning the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said that it was helping Police Scotland with its investigation and added that sufficient fire cover would be maintained in the area.
