Katherine McCormack, 60, was found to be nearly three times over the legal limit when she was seen driving erratically on the A9 near Perth. Perth Sheriff Court was told that McCormack had been banned from the road twice before after being caught drink-driving in Wales in 1997 and 2004. But Sheriff Kevin Veal did not jail the doctor and instead fined her £750 and banned her from driving for five years. McCormack, of Airntully, Perth, admitted driving with excess alcohol on streets in Perth on March 2. Police were called in after McCormack’s Peugeot 206 coupe was initially seen being driven erratically on the A9 near the city shortly before 11am. By the time officers had caught up with her she had driven into the city centre and was found to be smelling strongly of alcohol.
