Dundee clubs eye Queen’s Park youngster Blair Spittal

Dundee United and Dundee could be set to battle it out for the latest Queen’s Park young star.
The Tannadice side are understood to have entered the race to sign the Spiders’ 18-year-old midfielder Blair Spittal, while the Dark Blues are also believed to be monitoring his progress.
United took both Andrew Robertson and Aidan Connolly from the League Two side last summer.
Robertson has been a roaring success, making the left-back position at Tannadice his own and being called up for Scotland’s friendly in Poland next week on the back of some outstanding performances.
Connolly hasn’t made such an instant impact, but came off the bench to make his debut on Friday night in the 3-1 win over Motherwell and manager Jackie McNamara has high hopes for him as well.
English League One side Coventry City, who are managed by Steven Pressley, are also monitoring Spittal.
Pressley has been sending his Scottish scout, former Ayr boss Brian Reid, to watch the player in action.
