Dundee’s board has been cut in half following the resignations of directors Bill Colvin, Steve Martin and Ian Crighton.
The trio have submitted letters to club chief executive Scot Gardiner in the wake of the decision of Texan-backed bidders Keyes Capital to withdraw their proposal to buy a controlling interest in the Dark Blues.
The move by the Americans followed on from a statement issued on behalf of the Dundee FC Supporters’ Society, the club’s majority shareholders, that they have postponed their own plan to ballot their members on June 15 over whether or not to accept the buyout plan.

Investment group frontman John Nelms had gone on record to say that he wanted an indication of where the society stood by this Friday, the second deadline day that would have slipped by without a yes.
Colvin and Martin were publicly backing the bid, while the now former finance director Crighton had expressed concerns about the length of time it was taking the DFCSS to make a decision.
These developments leave only society representatives Dave Forbes, Maurice Kidd and Fraser MacDonald in the boardroom.
