Angus man admits possessing child sex abuse images

An Angus man has admitted possessing almost 25,000 images of child sex abuse at an address in Dundee.

Kenneth Stalker, 34, Waterston, Nether Careston, near Brechin, admitted accessing the internet to view the indecent images over a two-year period.

Dundee Sheriff Court heard a police search discovered that Stalker had 24,699 images on his computer. These included indecent images of children ranging from age seven to older teenagers. He also had 131 indecent videos.

Defending, David Sinclair, said: “Clearly Stalker had a large number of images, but there’s no suggestion he shared or distributed these.”

Stalker admitted that, between June 13 2010 and April 25 last year, at Craigmount Road, Dundee, he possessed indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children.

He further admitted that, between June 13 2010 and May 3 last year, at the same address, he took or permitted to be taken indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children.

Sheriff Elizabeth Munro deferred sentence until May 2.
