Sair Khan has been booted out of the I’m a Celebrity jungle.

The Coronation Street actress received her marching orders during Monday’s instalment of the ITV show following a public vote.

Khan was the third celebrity to leave after Noel Edmonds and Malique Thompson-Dwyer.

Speaking to hosts Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby afterwards, Khan said it felt odd to be outside after 17 days in the jungle.

She said her fellow contestants were “a laugh a minute”.

Kahn said because of her hormones she “felt a wave of emotion” as soon as she entered camp and it took her a while to settle.

She said the friendships she had formed in the camp were hugely important to her.

“I’m all about female friendship, female solidarity, girl power,” she said.

“I do love my girls.”

The episode also featured John Barrowman’s return after his fall.

The actor was taken to hospital for an X-ray after injuring his ankle.

“I feel like Hopalong Cassidy,” he joked as he returned with a cane.

“I went to the hospital, they X-rayed it, it’s a bad sprain but the whole side of my left ankle is swollen.

“There are things I can’t do, I can’t go down stairs but they’ve told me to walk on it as much as I can because the more I can walk on it the better it will get.”

He added: “I was hoping that my (wallaby) shank is safe from last night although I did say I bet the bastards will probably have eaten it,” he added.

James McVey and Rita Simons were feeling the pressure as they took on the latest Bushtucker trial, the Stars of the Silver Scream.

Former EastEnders actress Simons had to stand in a giant popcorn machine and answer film-related questions to win as many seconds as possible – all while being covered in jungle critters.

The Vamps star McVey had to stand with his head inside a box filled with items such as pig brains and flies, and use whatever time Simons had won for him to release a star using only his mouth.

Simons answered questions on films such as “Brainspotting”, “Fly School Musical” and “Claws” as McVey braved the critters to secure the tokens.

The pair won eight out of the possible nine stars for camp.
