Dundee’s United Charlie Telfer wins award

Dundee United midfielder Charlie Telfer has been voted SPFL Young Player of the Month for November.

The former Rangers man has produced “a string of fine performances” to get chosen by the Scottish media.

The 19-year-old, who signed after leaving Ibrox in the summer, scored in a 3-0 home win over St Mirren and starred in a 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock.

He also played a part in a 2-1 win over Motherwell in the Scottish Cup.

Telfer came through the youth ranks with Rangers but rejected a new contract with the Scottish Championship club.

The two clubs have yet to agree a compensation figure,and the matter is set to go to a tribunal.
