Typhoons from RAF Leuchars will stage a spectacular flypast over Dundee as part of Scotland’s Armed Forces Day celebrations.
On Saturday June 30, the public will have their chance to show their support for the nation’s serving troops, their families, veterans and cadets.
This year’s Armed Forces Day was officially launched at HMS Caledonia in Rosyth this week when the Royal Marine Band played for senior representatives of the British Army, Navy and Royal Air Force.
The celebrations culminate a week today when Number 6 Squadron from RAF Leuchars will take to the skies above Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.
Events kick off today with Stirling Military Show, and flag-raising ceremonies are set to take place around the country on Monday.Find out more at www.armedforcesday.org.ukPhoto David Wardle
