Coronavirus: Jobs news

Coronavirus has had a devastating effect on economies the world over.

Although some sectors have seen trade improve as the result of our radically changed lifestyles, many of our most established industries and companies have been battling to weather one of the greatest crises in living memory.

The unemployment rate has risen rapidly and expected to peak towards the end of the year. Sadly, some businesses in Tayside and Fife have been forced to close while others have taken the painful decision to reduce their workforce.

However, other companies have grasped opportunities presented to them and taken on additional staff throughout the pandemic.

On this page we will gather all Courier reporting relating to jobs. We are also inviting you, our readers, to alert us to any job market changes you are aware of (see below).
