The construction firm behind Perth’s Bertha Park High School and the controversial Earl Grey Building at Dundee’s Waterfront saw its revenues rise by more than £100 million last year.
Robertson Group Limited made pre-tax profits of £21.3m on sales of £713.4m for the year ending March 31.
This compares to revenues of £608.8m and a pre-tax profit of £19.3m in 2018.
In the director’s report within the company’s accounts, managing director William Robertson said: “We continued to focus on using market knowledge and innovation to target and secure improving quality workload.
“The business continues to be successful in what remains a highly competitive and changing market place.”
Notable projects for the Elgin-headquartered firm were the new Macallan Distillery & Visitor Experience in Aberdeenshire and the new P&J Live building in Aberdeen.
In Tayside, the firm was also involved in the construction on Menzieshill Community Centre, Muirfield Primary School in Arbroath and a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the grounds of Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
The firm’s staffing levels increased from 2,295 to 2,640 over the 2018/19 financial year.
Mr Robertson added: “I am pleased with the progress within the group over the last 12 months.
“With the current secured order book we are confidently expecting the coming year to be another successful one.
“Our goal is to continue to deliver sustainable and quality profit growth.
“The quality of employees, our order book and our ability to manage and mitigate project risk will determine the turnover to deliver our profitability targets.”
Separately filed accounts for Robertson Construction Tayside Limited showed revenues rose by 10% to £33.1m for the year ending March 31, from £30.2m in 2018.
Pre-tax profits for the subsidiary – which takes in the construction firm’s activity in Tayside – fell from £4.2m in 2018 to £3.3m last year.
