Fiscal depute Eilidh Robertson told Dundee Sheriff Court: “Police searched the accused’s home address at 8.20am. A laptop, iPad and hard drive were seized.

“On the laptop, 16,873 indecent still images of children were found and 130 indecent moving images of children were also found.

“The videos added up to a total running time of nine hours and 18 minutes.”

On the iPad, 55 indecent still images of children were found and on the hard drive there were 4,823 indecent still images of children.

A further 17 indecent moving images of children were also found, with a total running time of three hours and 28 minutes.

Two further extreme pornography videos involving an adult woman were also found, with a total running time of one minute and 26 seconds.

Spink, of Cairnie Street, Arbroath, admitted having indecent images of children between April 6 2015 and January 3 last year, and having images of extreme pornography between August 4 2015 and February 17 last year, both at his home address.
