A woman accused of trying to cash a business cheque in another woman’s name and using a forged driving licence has been remanded in custody after her second appearance in private at Dundee.
Amy Brown, 35, of Westgate Terrace, London, appeared before Sheriff Lorna Drummond on a petition alleging that on March 10 2016, at Barclays Bank, High Street, Dundee, she uttered a cheque drawn on the account of Little Blossoms Childcare Ltd and in the name of Beverley Cornwall for £1,850 and tried to receive the cash.
She is also charged with uttering as genuine a forged driving licence in the name of Beverley Cornwall and, on the same date at the same place, possessing a false driving licence.
Brown made no plea, was remanded and fully committed for trial.
