Dundee man stole from city shopping centres and swallowed ‘drugs’
ByAlan Wilson
Steven Gill, 36, of Watson Street, had sentence deferred for reports on six separate complaints dating back almost two years.
Gill had previously admitted that on January 29 2016, at Sports Direct, Overgate centre, he stole clothing, and on November 4 2016, at B&M, Wellgate centre, he stole bottles of perfume. He further admitted that on January 15, at police HQ, he possessed heroin, and at Irvine Square the same day, he assaulted his former partner Nadine Kelbie and struck her on the head, while on bail.
Gill also admitted that on February 23 he was found in the curtilage of a property in Nesbitt Street in circumstances where it may be inferred he intended to commit theft there, and in Arbroath Road on the same date, he swallowed items suspected to be drugs and attempted to pervert the course of justice, while on bail.
Sheriff George Way deferred sentence for reports until December 11 and granted him bail.
