Police in Dunfermline are appealing for information after a large charity box was stolen from Queen Margaret Hospital.
The metre-tall, metre-wide charity box for Guide Dogs for the Blind was taken at some point between 7.45pm and 8.45pm on Monday June 5.
The charity box is very recognisable in that it is in the shape of a golden Labrador guide dog with a smaller dog beside it.
It was unknown how much money was inside, but police are keen to trace whoever is responsible for the theft.
A suspect described as having grey hair and wearing a light blue tracksuit top was seen by members of the public near to the Cycle path at Whitefield road.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to please get in contact.
Constable Vicki Philip, of Safer Towns Dunfermline, said: “This is a large distinctive object and we feel sure that someone must know who is responsible for the theft.
“Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101 quoting incident number 3955 of June 5.”
