Rory McAllister has been a thorn in Brechin’s side this season.
So manager Darren Dods isn’t complaining that the prolific striker is suspended for their trip to Peterhead this afternoon.
But the Glebe Park boss won’t be lulled into a false of security by McAllister’s absence.
“Peterhead are a strong team,” he said.
“Obviously, Rory McAllister is an important player for them. I think he’s scored every time we’ve played them this season.
“But squad-wise, they’ve got one of the best in the division. I keep expecting to see them go on a run of a few wins.
“We have to make sure we’re ready for a tough game.”
An overnight downpour prevented Brechin from building on their midweek win against Queen’s Park last weekend but, weather permitting, they’ll now have a chance to build some real momentum.
“We should have five games in 14 days,” said Dods.
“The lads are desperate to get back out there. Saturday’s postponement was the last thing we wanted. Hopefully we can pick up where we left off last Tuesday.”
Alan Trouten has a groin worry but Dods is hopeful he will be available.
