The final day of the transfer window saw a revolving door at Dens Park.
By the close of business, Dundee boss Jim McIntyre had added four more new faces, all on loan deals.
Defender Ryan McGowan arrived from Bradford, midfielder Ethan Robson from Sunderland, winger Scott Wright from Aberdeen and attacking midfielder John O’Sullivan from Blackpool.
The arrivals of Wright and O’Sullivan late on Thursday night brought the total number added in January to 11.
Just as importantly, in terms of his budget at least, the final day of the window saw Jim move out a string of men he considered surplus to requirements.
Out went Sofien Moussa, Jean Mendy, Elton Ngwatala, Kharl Madianga, Ryan Inniss and Roarie Deacon.
And the Glen Kamara transfer saga was finally resolved as Rangers came up with £100,000 to bring forward the midfielder’s summer move to Ibrox to now.
One deal that didn’t come off was a reported attempt to bring defender Jack Hendry back to Dens a year after he left for Celtic in a £1 million deal.
Hendry had also been interesting Peterborough United but, by the time the deadline passed, no deal had been done.
With fresh resources available to him, the manager is set to ring the changes at Hamilton after the shocker of a performance at Queen of the South in midweek.
Midfielder Martin Woods is expected to have recovered from his bout of illness that kept him out of the 3-0 defeat at Palmerston to return to the line-up at New Douglas Park tomorrow for the crunch relegation battle.
Andy Dales limped off in that Scottish Cup defeat but the knock isn’t serious and he could keep his place on the wing.
Last week’s arrivals James Horsfield and Andreas Hadenius were unavailable in the cup and are likely to be involved.
And all of yesterday’s signings should be cleared in time to make the squad.
Experienced former Hearts and Dundee United defender McGowan is expected to go straight into central defence and fill the gap left by Inniss’ return to Crystal Palace.
And Wright could also start. The wide man is certainly match fit, having played almost the whole 90 minutes as Aberdeen beat Stenhousemuir in a Scottish Cup replay on Tuesday night.
Twenty-five year old O’Sullivan has also had plenty game time this term, having made 22 appearances for Blackpool.
Less experienced Sunderland kid Robson may be involved from the bench as he makes the step up to first-team football with Dundee.
