Ray McKinnon will have the option of reverting to his Championship line-up when Dundee United look to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches at Livingston on Saturday.
The Tangerines gaffer altered all 11 starting slots for last weekend’s Irn Bru Cup win over Linfield.
No injuries were picked up in that one and all the men who took part in the impressive league win at Dunfermline a week earlier will also be available.
And although he admits to a few selection dilemmas he’s delighted to have, Ray looks to be leaning towards going to the men who secured the East End Park win.
“Scott Fraser is the only one not in training right now so the squad for Saturday will be the roughly the same one we took to Dunfermline,” he said.
“I see Sam Stanton, the way he played last Saturday and the way he’s performing in training and I’m finding it hard to get him back in the team.
“He’s been outstanding and it’s testimony to others that he might not be in the starting XI.
“There are others doing well and we have an 18-man squad that’s looking pretty good when everyone is fit.”
“Willo Flood was great at right-back against Dunfermline. He’s played there lots of times, so while I have Lewis Toshney and Stewart Murdoch available, I’ll have a decision to make.
“I tell the players if they are in the team and doing well they keep their place. Injuries and suspensions can be unfortunate but if you miss out and someone comes in and does well that’s just the way it is.”
Last night, trialist Francois Kompany got another chance to earn a deal when he turned out for the second string in a Development League clash with Hearts.
The younger brother of Manchester City and Belgium skipper Vincent, has been training with United for a week now and a decision on whether the centre-half is offered a deal will be made soon.
“Francois was booked to go back home after the match and I’ll have a think about things and then have a chat with him,” added Ray.
“He’s impressed me and he has a decent left foot, though central defence is an area where we are well covered.”
United will face Northern Irish outfit Crusaders in the Irn-Bru Cup quarter-finals next month.
