Dundonians and visitors alike are getting their first taste of the new Waterfront after the new roads and paths in the development opened for access.
The streets, which intersect the new plots at the Central Waterfront, are now open to vehicles and pedestrians alike and a local photographer recorded this early tour on his bike.
People The Courier spoke to were generally impressed by what they found, with Rachel Weir saying: “It’s definitely better to connect the whole city together … It’s exciting!”
The opening follows months of work by contractor Sir Robert McAlpine, at a cost of £11 million.
The roads are called Earl Grey Place West and Earl Grey Place East running east to west on either side of Slessor Gardens and South Crichton Street and South Castle Street, extending southwards from the city centre.
