Dundee FC legend Julian Speroni swapped football for fashion ahead of the kick-off for a national charity day.
The former Dens keeper, whose Crystal Palace testimonial in London has been hailed by Dark Blues fans as one of the club’s greatest ever away days, is backing this year’s Post Polio Syndrome (PPS) Day campaign.
Striking a pose ahead of a live event at Selhurst Park, the big stopper joined Team GB Paralympian Anne Wafula-Strike, QVC presenter Julia Roberts and former England star John Salako for a photo shoot launching a charity fashion collection.
PPS day will be held on October 22 and is part of an initiative being driven by The British Polio Fellowship to raise awareness of the needs of 120,000 people living with the condition.
“I would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard to make this year’s fashion initiative such a success,” said CEO of The British Polio Fellowship, Ted Hill MBE.
“Anne and Julia have given of their time to model a collection for able and disabled alike.
“I would also like to thank Crystal Palace Football Club, Julian Speroni and John Salako for their backing.”
The collection includes a mix of pieces suitable for people of varying mobility, including garments for men and women.
