A Kirkcaldy man appeared on petition at the sheriff court in connection with an alleged assault and robbery at a Kirkcaldy grocery store. Michael Williamson, 35, whose address was given as Kirkcaldy, made no plea or declaration to charges of assault and robbery. The alleged incident took place at Malkhas Minimarket, in Templehall, Kirkcaldy on February 4. The case was committed for further examination and the accused was remanded in custody.
