On the road again Mort the moggie makes another daring bid for freedom

A serial car-surfing cat disappeared for a second time in 12 months after hitching a ride under a bonnet.
Mort the moggie sprang from her owner’s car in the middle of Perth Bridge at lunchtime after travelling from Scone.
The unexpected incident followed a public appeal for information in April, when the ginger feline was discovered under a car bonnet in Almondbank 424 miles away from her registered address in Wales.
The mystery was solved when Mort’s owners, Suzie and Charlie Grant, were traced at their new home in Perthshire.
Mort went one better on Monday, leaping from Suzie’s car before making off through traffic.
“I was on Perth Bridge, turning on to Charlotte Street,” Suzie said.
“Mort jumped out when I was waiting at the traffic lights.”
Fortunately for Mort there was a happy ending to the tale and she was found safe and well, albeit minus another life.
