Community groups and volunteers joined forces in Coupar Angus at the weekend to gather 10,000 snowdrops.
The flowers were donated by the Cardean Estate in Meigle and will be planted ahead of the town’s Snowdrop Festival, which starts on February 28.
Coupar Angus was the first community to join in the Visit Scotland national Snowdrop Festival in 2014.
The local festival was organised by the Town Team, a partnership of local businesses, voluntary groups, churches and the primary school.
They arranged a weekend of snowdrop-themed events and plan to build on their success this year.
The snowdrops will be planted in the coming days, with Pride of Place adding them to display tubs throughout the town; school children planting them on the common; and the remainder being planted by the community at 10.30am on Sunday at the primary school, when everyone will be welcome to join in.
Town Team chairman John Palfreyman said support for the event showed how the community is working to attract people to the town.
