Perth road closed for gas repairs

A busy Perth road has closed for emergency gas works.

Viewlands Terrace is shut to traffic while engineers work on underground pipelines.

Perth and Kinross Council said the route has been closed off between Glasgow Road and Braeside Gardens, with diversions in place, because there was a possible risk to the public.

“Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained,” a spokesman said.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Place traffic will be prohibited from turning right onto Charlotte Street on February 7 because of planned water works.
