A pensioner suffered facial injuries and broken ribs after being set upon by a gang of teenagers in broad daylight.
The group approached to woman, who has not been identified, on Perth’s Rannoch Road on Saturday and demanded that she hand over cash.
When she refused, they began kicking her in the face and body.
Police are understood to be reviewing CCTV from nearby shops in a bid to find the culprits.
Following the attack, the woman’s granddaughter posted online: “Violent wee scum bags – yous deserve to be jailed I hope yous get caught. People like you shouldn’t be living, little rats.”For more on this story see Thursday’s edition of The Courier.
