Forfar boss Dick Campbell is looking for his side to return to winning ways this afternoon although he is under no illusions about how difficult that will be against the team he rates as the best in League Two.
The Loons face the long trek to Stranraer for the top-of-the-table clash, knowing that a win over Steve Aitken’s men will draw them level on points with the current league leaders.
There will be several changes to the Forfar starting line-up with Campbell set to ring the changes after his side lost their unbeaten home record after going down 2-0 at Station Park to Ray McKinnon’s Brechin outfit last Saturday.
He said: “We simply didn’t meet our own high standards last week.
“We played badly and Brechin played well so all credit to Ray and his team.
“I have decided to make changes for this weekend’s game and announced my team on Thursday night.
“We have obviously lost Jim Paterson to Dunfermline but we have Derek Young back from injury.
“He is a big player for me but we will have to be careful with him so he will not start.
“I am looking for a response from the players after last week but we travel to Stranraer in optimistic frame of mind.
“The games between us have been tight so far this season and I expect much of the same again.
“I have said it before but I believe they are the best team in the league.
“However, we are a match for anyone on our day and it is a game I am relishing.”
Forfar have no injury or suspension worries for the match.
