Action from the Flyers clash with Braehead Clan on Friday, which the Fife side lost 5-3.

Dundee Stars secured revenge over misfiring Braehead Clan at Braehead Arena, the Tayside club emerging 4-3 victors after penalty shots.

A double from evergreen Lou Dickenson and one for Riley Wetmore led the way for the Stars, who snatched an early lead after only 14 seconds, before being pegged back only 47 seconds later as Jamie Fritsch fired high into the rigging following excellent work from Scott Aarssen.

Further goals from Alex Leavitt and Stefan Meyer sent the contest to overtime, before red-hot Dickensen converted his penalty shot to send the away fans wild.

Stars had crashed 6-4 to Braehead Clan in Glasgow on Saturday.

They came out flying in the second period after falling behind 2-0 thanks to an Alex Leavitt brace.

The Dundee side then surged into a 4-3 lead before three further strikes hit the rigging to secure the victory for Clan.

Meanwhile, Fife Flyers’ third game in 48 hours ended in defeat, as they slipped to a 5-2 loss at the hands of Nottingham Panthers.

Goals from Nicholas Rioux and Thomas Muir were not enough for the Kircaldy side as two strikes from Andy Bohmback laid the foundations for a Panthers victory.

The clinical Nottingham side snatched a 3-1 lead at the end of the first period and were never behind, as they showed their class in front of goal to secure maximum points.

Flyers were edged 5-3 by Braehead in Fife on Friday, then lost at Cardiff Devils on Saturday

Cardiff moved into a 2-0 lead before Michael Dorr hit the rigging to give Fife a fighting chance.

However, a goal 11 minutes from time from Thomas Kurka secured the points for the Devils.
